WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Department has found a vehicle allegedly involved in a hit and run on Park Ave on Saturday night.

The search for the operator of the vehicle continues.

As ThisWeekinWorcester.com reported, police say on Saturday night around 8 PM, the WPD’s Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the area 418 Park Ave. Dispatchers told police a SUV had fled the scene in the direction of Mill St.

Officers located a male operator of a motorcycle lying on his back when they arrived. The male was rushed to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.

The WPD’s initial investigation reveals that motorcycle was traveling south on Park Ave. The black Chevy SUV was traveling north on Park Ave.

The SUV turned left into the KFC/Taco Bell drive-thru when the SUV cut the motorcycle off, impacting the motorcycle and ejecting the motorcycle operator onto the sidewalk. The SUV stopped for a moment and then continued into the parking lot while dragging the motorcycle. Once the motorcycle dislodged from the black SUV, the vehicle exited the parking lot, turning right onto Park Ave. at a high rate of speed.

Anyone with information is asked to call 508-799-8674 — select Option #1 for Crash Reconstruction.
