Worcester Community Action Council Opening New Offices on Jan. 11

WORCESTER – The Worcester Community Action Council will open in their new offices on the fifth floor of the former Unum building on Chestnut Street on Jan. 11.

The WCAC offices are closed now through Jan. 10 to facilitate the move to their new location.

WCAC had previously announced the organization was moving its offices from the Denholm building to 18 Chestnut St. . As ThisWeekinWorcester.com has previously reported, the Denholm building at 484-500 Main St. was sold to the City of Worcester.

WCAC is a federally designated anti-poverty agency serving Central Massachusetts with a focus on self-sufficiency programs.

In a newsletter released on Thursday, WCAC executive director Marybeth Campbell said, “We are working hard to minimize interruption in service to our clients during this time but do anticipate brief periods of impact on our phone lines and email system as we transition to our new space. The public’s continued patience and understanding is appreciated.”

WCAC employees are working remotely until they open their new offices at 9 AM on Jan. 11. Anyone with questions or concerns regarding fule assistance can email [email protected]  or email [email protected] for other matters.
