October has finally come to an end, and Halloween is officially over. It’s time to put away your costumes and spooky decorations, and prepare for a month full of morning frosts and Thanksgiving preparations.

ThisWeekinWorcester.com has your list of five fun events happening this weekend to celebrate the start of November! Dedicate your Saturday and Sunday to togetherness by making plans with your family and friends.

Treat yourself and your loved ones to activities that will make you smile and laugh through the first weekend of November.

You can’t start planning for the holidays too early!

Join the DCU for their Castleberry Holiday Craft Festival this Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Over 100 of the nation’s finest craftspeople will be selling their handmade crafts, including pottery, toys, organic bath products, paintings, and more, including Worcester’s own custom-made doll clothes designer, Dolly Dress Up Boutique.

You will also be able to sample and purchase of specialty foods like artisan fudge, maple products, jams, hot chocolate balls, and more. Adult admission is $7. Children under the age of 14 can attend for free.

Feel appreciated this Saturday!

PT Pet Supply in Webster will be holding their Customer Appreciation Day to thank people like you!

Stop by from 10 AM to 4 PM for free samples, raffle baskets, food, drinks, vendors, a fall themed photo booth for dogs and their owners, and more.

Author Louise Chadborne will also be present, signing her book Granite: the Bullmastiff Story. All proceeds will go to the Webster Animal Shelter and Dog Orphans.

Say cheese!

November is National Career Development Month, and the Young Professional Women’s Association (YPWA) in Worcester is going to give you a headstart in finding your dream job.

This Saturday from 2 PM to 4 PM, join them at 44 Portland Street in Worcester for their Headshot Happy Hour. Change your professional profile pictures after board member, Kayla Wicks, takes your headshot.

After you have your picture taken, join them for a fun social networking event.

Need a Halloween do-over after a rainy night?

Celebrate the spookiest holiday one more time! The Brimfield Athletic Association, Brimfield Winery, and Brimfield Fire Department will be coming together to put on their town’s Trunk or Treat!

Drive over to 35 Main Street in Brimfield at 6:30 PM with a bag of candy to participate in the fun. Food trucks and hot cider will be on site, too.

Laugh away all the long hours of work this weekend!

Enjoy a fun night out with friends at a comedy night! Penny Pinchers Brewing Co in Millbury will bring a smile to your face this Saturday from 7 PM to 10 PM.

Sip a craft beer and laugh along to a comedy event hosted by Kindra Lansing. Comedians performing include comics you may have seen on HBO or Comedy Centra;, like Jason Cordova and Sean Sullivan.

The price is $15 per person.
