WORCESTER – A commercial alarm on Main Street led to the arrest of a local man during the early morning of Saturday, April 23.
Officers arrived at Armsby Abbey at 144 Main Street at around 5 AM on Saturday, and saw movement within the building. Using flashlights, they identified an individual inside, hiding behind a pillar.
According to the Worcester Police Department, the individual, identified as Rafael Perez-Crespi, 27, of Worcester, attempted to flee out a back door and was apprehended.
Officers located several credit cards with different names on them and a thin metal rod.
Perez-Crespi faces charges of:
- Breaking and Entering at Nighttime for a Felony;
- Larceny from a Building; and
- Possession of a Burglarious Instrument
