ArtsWorcester Opens ‘Inside Voices’ Exhibition March 18

ArtsWorcester, in partnership with Fitchburg Art Museum, presents Inside Voices: A Members’ Exhibition, starting on Thursday, March 18.

Inside Voices marks the ninth “Call and Response” collaboration between ArtsWorcester and the Fitchburg Art Museum

This year’s theme prompts artists to consider a wide range of interiors, including domestic environments, psychological subjectivity, bodies, architecture, and sculptural containment. These spaces reveal symbolic weight, mental and emotional states, fantasy worlds, gender roles, and personal memories.

The collection opens in ArtsWorcester’s main galleries and online beginning Thursday, March 18. Gallery capacity is limited to 10 visitors at any time, and all visitors are required to wear masks or face coverings.

Gallery visitors are required to reserve a free, 45-minute appointment in advance on Eventbrite before entering.

Change Your Clocks, Check Your Alarms this Weekend

State Fire Marshall Peter Ostroskey is reminding Massachusetts residents this coming weekend, when we move our clocks up an hour — or “spring ahead” — it’s also a good time to check carbon monoxide alarms and smoke detectors.

Ostroskey says that “Unless you have newer alarms with 10-year sealed batteries, this is a good time to replace the alkaline batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.”
