Worcester Chamber Music Society Presents “Soundscapes in Time”

Worcester Chamber Music Society (WCMS) continues its 17th season with the upcoming “Soundscapes in Time” concert on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 4 PM at the Jeanne Y. Curtis Hall at Assumption University in Worcester.

Music from the 18th and 21st centuries evokes the idea of opening to worlds beyond. Musical descriptions of a flower’s emergence and seeding music in unexpected places contrast with a Parisian blossoming and Mozart’s full-blown introduction of one of the most enduring of his chamber pieces.

The program includes:

  • Mark Berger Bloom
  • Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges String Quartet No. 5
  • Kate Whitley Duo for Violin and Viola
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Clarinet Quintet in A Major with guest Eric Thomas, clarinet
