WRTA Schedule Changes for July 4
The Worcester Regional Transit Authority announced that there will be no fixed route bus service or para-transit service provided on Monday, July 4 for the Independence Day holiday.
All administration officers, including the Customer Service Center at 60 Foster Street, are closed on July 4.
Worcester Railers Set to Announce New Head Coach
The Worcester Railers are set to announce the team’s third head coach on Wednesday. The Railers first year of competition was the 2017 – 2018 season.
On Friday, June 24, the Railers announces they had mutually decided to part ways with head coach David Cunniff. Cunniff was hired in November 2019, after the season 2019 – 2020 season started. That season was eventually cancelled after the Railers had played 61 games.
The team did not play the following season. Last year, the Railers finished with 71 points (32-32-5-2), and did not qualify for the playoffs.

Worcester Senior Center Tercentennial and Summer Concert
The Worcester Senior Center hosts its Distinguished Speaker Series with Bill Wallace, Executive Director of the Worcester Historical Museum, on Wednesday, June 29, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Wallace will share highlights of Worcester history.

The kick off of the Worcester Senior Center Summer Concert Series begins at noon with Worcester’s Own Stomp N’ Holler performing old and new Country & Americana favorites.

Southborough Launches ‘Person At Risk’ Program
The Southborough Police Department is now offering a “Person At Risk” program to members of the Southborough community.
The program is dedicated to those who have specific conditions, such as Autism, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other memory-related issues. Conditions that place them at risk of wandering from the safety of their caregiver or contribute to them acting out at home, school, or other community locations.
