WORCESTER – The field house at Vernon Hill park has been broken into, again.

According to representatives from East Side Babe Ruth, the break-in occurred Saturday night, May 4.

This time, the cash register and baseballs were stolen. This is the latest in a handful of break-ins at the field in just the past five years — and its the second break-in since Nov. 2018.

It is not clear at this time if there was any money in the register.

The Worcester PD has been made aware of the most recent break-in and, according to sources, are following-up on it.

Ironically enough, according to a source, the City of Worcester received a purchase order today for a new lock on the door of the field house.
