An injured driver was rushed to UMass Hospital in Worcester following a serious two-car crash in Charlton on Sunday night.
According to the Charlton Police Department, one of the operators was trapped inside their vehicle and had to be freed by the Charlton Fire Dept.
Police responded to the scene of the crash near 160 Dresser Hill Rd. around 7:30 PM.
The crash remains under investigation, but the Charlton PD believe that the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Dresser Hill Rd. when one of the vehicles crossed the center yellow lines and collided head-on with the other vehicle.
Criminal charges will be filed.
