Two 19-Year-Old Worcester Men Arrested for Illegal Firearm

WORCESTER – Police responded to Breck Street on Thursday, March 31, around 12:30 AM, after a ShotSpotter activation.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers located a Nissan Rouge in the middle of the road.

According to the Worcester Police Department, two officers approached the vehicle and found its two occupants appeared to be extremely nervous.

Additional officers arrived at the scene and spent shell casings were recovered.

The driver of the Nissan, Roy Diaz, of Worcester, and the passenger, Michael Bell, of Worcester, both 19-years-old, were removed from the vehicle. After Diaz was removed from the vehicle, an officer opened the passenger door and noticed a magazine underneath Bell’s right leg.

Bell allegedly struggled with officers, officers was eventually placed him in handcuffs.

Both Diaz and Bell face the following charges:

  • Improperly Storing a Firearm,
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License,
  • Carrying a Firearm without a License,
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
