Lois Lane Sign Outside Worcester Comic Book Store Stolen Again

WORCESTER – For the second time in a little over a year, the iconic Lois Lane sign outside of the popular pop-culture store That’s Entertainment in Worcester has been stolen.

The sign was taken some time Friday, August 2, or early Saturday morning on Aug. 3. The sign was also taken last July during construction in that area. It was recovered in early August 2018.

The sign was installed in 2012. It stands at the corner of That’s Entertainment at 244 Park Ave as a salute to the character of Lois Lane — the love of comic book hero Superman’s life — and the pop-culture spirit and history of That’s Entertainment.

According to the owners of That’s Entertainment, as of Monday afternoon, Aug.5, the sign remained missing.

In a message to ThisWeekinWorcester.com, ownership said, “We still have a little hope that whoever took it will reevaluate in the morning light, and find a way to get it back to us, maybe through an intermediary. We really just want it back!”

TWIW will update this story as more information becomes available.
