See the Pending Road and Sidewalk Projects in Worcester

WORCESTER – The City of Worcester provided updated status on both street resurfacing and sidwalk repair projects to Worcester City Council for its meeting on Tuesday.

The report identifies nearly 180 street resurfacing projects selected from 2019 to present. There are currently 90 projects pending, with 37 of those already started, and 34 are at least 40 percent completed. Of the 90 projects pending, 25 are listed as “held pending utility upgrades.” There are 13 resurfacing projects scheduled for fiscal year 2024, which ends June 30.

Fifteen projects are lists as having zero percent completed as its status and no notes about scheduling, with 12 of those in District 4. One project, resurfacing on Gardner Street from Cantebury Street to Southgate Street, lists no status or notes.

The report also lists 76 sidewalk projects completed in 2022 and 2023, with 180 projects pending. The pending sidewalk projects also list the cost of each. The total cost for all 76 pending sidewalk repair projects is $1,346,300.
