WORCESTER – A traffic stop on Dorchester Street led to the arrest of a man for an illegal firearm on Tuesday, March 29.
Gang Unit officers stopped Angel Rivera-Williams, 19, of Worcester, for a stop sign violation just after 6 PM. Rivera-Williams did not have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
According to the Worcester Police Department, officers asked Rivera-Williams to step out of the vehicle. When he complied, they located a loaded handgun under the driver’s seat.
Rivera-Williams does not have a license to carry a firearm and was arrested. He faces charges of:
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm;
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License,;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device;
- Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle;
- Stop Sign violation
