WORCESTER – A local man was arrested in Friday, Nov. 24, in connection with the death of a woman in Worcester a day before, on Thanksgiving Day.
Police responded to Angie’s Body Work Spa on Pleasant Street at around 11:30 AM in response to a report of a woman in a possible medical crisis. The Worcester Police Department says that Upon arrival at the scene, a male bystander led officers to an unconscious woman. Police provided medical aid but the woman was declared dead by Worcester EMS.
Court documents later revealed the woman was shot in the head.
A warrant for Marcel Santos-Padgett, 31, of Leicester, was issued as part of the investigation into the woman’s death. Santos-Padgett was arrested at a residence in Haverhill on Friday for the warrant.
Police have not indicated any motive or the identity of the victim.
