Skippy Foods launched a recall of four of its products with certain “best if used by” dates on Wednesday, March 30.
According to information provided by Skippy to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), there is a possibility that a limited number of jars may contain a small fragment of stainless steel from a piece of manufacturing equipment.
The date appears on the lid of the jars. Images of labels for each product appear below.
The FDA says that Skippy voluntarily initiated the recall which covers 9,353 cases of Skippy product, representing over 161,000 pounds of peanut butter.
