The Sturbridge Police Dept. is asking the public for help identifying a man suspected of using counterfeit bills at Walmart and Stop and Shop.
According to the police, on Sunday, Oct. 20, the male in the photo [above and below] entered Stop and Shop where he passed a $100 bill making a small purchase.
While distracting the store clerks, the man was able to ask for the $100 bill back and receive change for the $100 bill he had already gotten back.
The suspect then left the store and got in a red Jeep Grand Cherokee.

In a similar situation, the Leicester Police are also seeking a suspect in a counterfeiting case.
According to the Leicester PD, the man in the photo above was at the Leicester Walmart on Tuesday, Oct. 22 and used 23 counterfeit $50 bills.
Police say he was at the Ware Walmart prior to going to Leicester and is believed to have possibly come out of New York City.
