WORCESTER – The 2020 Inaugural Exercises for the newly-elected Worcester’s City Council and School Committee will be held on Thursday, January 2 at Mechanics Hall in downtown Worcester.
The Inaugural Exercises include a swearing-in ceremony, and an inaugural address by re-elected Mayor Joseph M. Petty.
The event is free of charge and open to the public.
The event will also include the swearing-in of the new Poet Laureate, Juan Matos, and Youth Poet Laureate, Holy Name senior Amina Mohammad.
