WORCESTER – A report released earlier this week by travel website The Points Guy has listed the best airlines for families in the United States and the Worcester Regional Airport is home to three of the top 10 airlines on the list — including the airline with the most seat room, and the best on-board entertainment.
The report — TPG’s Best Airlines for Families — ranks JetBlue (#1), Delta (#5), and American airlines (#7) in the top 10; all three of which passengers can fly out of Worcester.
JetBlue flies daily to Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando and to their hub in New York City. American flies twice daily to their hub in Philadelphia. and Delta Airlines flies out of Worcester to their hub in Detroit.
In their report, TPG ranked who they determined to be the best and worst domestic airlines when it comes to ensuring flights are as family-friendly as possible. TPG based their ranking on their annual best domestic airlines report.
Here are TPG’s 2019 Top 10 airlines for families:
- JetBlue Airways
- Southwest Airlines
- Hawaiian Airlines
- Alaska Airlines
- Delta Air Lines
- United Airlines
- American Airlines
- Frontier
- Spirit
- Allegiant Air
According to TPG, JetBlue earned the top spot on the list due to the airlines’ seat size and comfort, its entertainment options, the free snack basket and free Wi-Fi, and the option for families to pool miles together for free.
JetBlue earned the top spot on TPG’s list for its mileage program, seat size and entertainment options, and tied Hawaiian Airlines for food options.
Delta came was ranked second in three categories: on-time arrivals, best route network, and best early boarding policy.
