Shrewsbury Warrant Leads to Arrest for Drug Trafficking

SHREWSBURY – Police announced on Thursday, Feb. 22, that multiple search warrants served led to the seizure of a large amount of cocaine, recovery of stolen jewlery, and the arrest of a local man.

The investigation into Luke Warner, 56, of Shrewsbury, led to three search warrants issued and executed.

On Jan. 27, executed the first warrant on a home and white 2008 Ford Explorer on Howe Avenue. According to the Shrerwsbury Police Department, when officers and detectives arrived at the home, Warner was sitting in the Explorer, inside the garage of the home. During a search of the home, officers discovered 264 grams of cocaine, $2,920 in cash, a scale, and drug paraphernalia.

A second warrant, executed on Jan. 31, recovered $9,250 in cash and a large amount of stolen jewlery from a safety deposit box at a TD Bank in Shrewsbury, according to police.

A third warrant was served at a storage unit at Cube Smart in Shrewsbury, which belonged to Warner. Police say they seized additional jewlery, suspected to be stolen, inside the storage unit.

Warner faces charges of:

  • Trafficking Cocaine (200 grams or more)
  • Possession of Cocaine w/ intent to distribute
  • Possession of Class B substance (Subsequent Offense)
