St. Patrick’s Day is just one week away, the Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade is this weekend and Worcester finds itself among the Top 10 Most Irish Cities in America.
The team at Lawnstarter ranked the 200 largest U.S. cities to find the ones where the most Irish eyes are smiling. Worcester ranked as the #10 Most Irish City in America, according to their study.
Worcester also ranked 4th overall for highest share of Irish population.
Lawnstarter’s metrics included:
- The percentage of the Irish population
- The number of Irish restaurants and pubs
- The number of St. Patrick’s Day and other Irish cultural events
- The number of Irish cultural groups and organizations
Boston, Chicago and New York City took the top three spots as the Most Irish Cities in America.
