WORCESTER – Worcester Police K9 Beebs used his tracking ability on Monday, July 27, to lead his partner to a suspect in possession of a gun.
Worcester police officers arrived at a residence on West Mountain St. in response to a report of a domestic dispute. A male suspect had smashed the windows in his girlfriend’s car and fled into the woods nearby.
Beebs soon began tracking the suspect and led his partner to a path nearby. The suspect was about 15 yards away.
After the suspect initially refused to comply with the commands of the officer, Beebs helped bring the situation to resolution without incident or contacting the suspect.
The suspect will face charges of defacing or damaging property.
Domestic violence laws prohibit the name of the suspect being released.
