Today – Tuesday, September 29 – is National Coffee Day!

Get a Free Half-Dozen Donuts with Dunkin’ and Uber Eats

Get a free half-dozen donuts with any Dunkin’ purchase over $10 through the Uber eats app now through October 1.

To claim your free half-dozen donuts from Dunkin’:

  • Open the Uber Eats app or go to UberEats.com
  • Input your delivery address, search Dunkin’, and choose your nearest Dunkin’ location
  • Select $10 worth of your favorite food and drinks, and customize
  • Add a half-dozen donuts to your cart, notice the discount apply, then checkout.

 

WCMS Streaming Concerts

The Worcester Chamber Music Society [WCMS] will present four live-streamed concerts in its new Spotlight Concert series that will highlight the core members of the group.

Violist Mark Berger and pianist Randall Hodgkinson kick off the series on Thursday, October 8 with a “Fratres”, by composer Arvo Pärt. Mark Berger is also an award-winning composer and his newest work for solo piano will see its world premiere.Viola Sonata by Johannes Brahms closes this concert program.

The live stream begins Thursday, October 8 at 7:30 PM from Shapiro Hall at Joy of Music. The program will also be available on-demand from October 10 through October 15.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $18 for a family of two, $5 for students, youth 17 and under, and EBT card holders are free.

Gas Prices this Week

AAA Northeast, the popular not-for-profit auto club, reports changes in gas prices across the region on a weekly basis.

Massachusetts’s average gas price is down one cent from last week ($2.12), averaging $2.11 per gallon. That price is the 4 cents lower than a month ago ($2.15), and 49 cents cheaper than September 28, 2019 ($2.60).

Massachusetts’s average gas price is 7 cents lower than the national average.

AAA Northeast’s September 28 survey of fuel prices found the current national average to be the same as last week, averaging $2.18 a gallon. Today’s national average price is 1 cent higher than a month ago ($2.17), and 47 cents cheaper than this day last year ($2.65).

WPS Offering Free Flu Shots on Friday

Worcester Public Schools are offering free flu shots this Friday — October 2 — from 9 AM to 2 PM at Elm Park Community and Burncoat High.

Flu vaccines will be provided at no cost to WPS students ages 4 to 18. Vaccines will also be provided to older students, teachers and staff members for free with proof of insurance.
