WORCESTER – The Worcester Police Department issued a traffic advisory for Sunday, Oct. 9, for the Italian Heritage Parade.
Between 11 AM and 1 PM on Sunday, Plantation Street inbound from Belmont Street, the Rt. 290 ramp at Exit 19, and Shrewsbury Street will be closed.
There is no parking in front of East Park on Shrewsbury between 6 AM and 9 PM on Sunday.
Police strongly advise seeking alternative routes during the parade. Drivers are also asked to take extra care in these areas on Sunday, due to expected heavy pedestrian crowds.
The parade kicks off at noon at Aitchison Street. Artists, vendors, food trucks and live music will be at East Park until 6:30 PM. Fireworks will take place after dusk.
