Holy Cross Freshman Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

Winchendon native and Holy Cross freshman forward Joe Pridgen has been named Patriot League Rookie of the Week.

Pridgen had back to back games with nine rebounds and notched his first 20 point game last week.

The Crusaders’ earned its first win of the season on December 2nd. The 81-67 victory against Mercer came at the third and final game for the team at the Boca Raton Beach Classic.

Pridgen led the team with 21 points and 9 rebounds, both a season high.

After a cross-country trip to San Diego Pridgen again led the team in scoring with 16 points. He also added his second 9 rebound game of the week in the 68-51 loss.

Pridgen is currently second on the team in scoring with 13 points per game. Drew Louder, leads the team with 13.7 points per game. Louder was twice named Patriot League Rookie of the Week in November.

The Crusaders are back home on Tuesday, December 10 hosting UMASS Boston. Tickets are just $2 as part of the Holy Cross Two Buck Tuesday promotion.
