Two 18-Year-Old Men Arrested in Worcester on Weapons Charges

WORCESTER – Worcester Police officers arrested two men on Newbury St. on Thursday, July 23. Both men were in possession of loaded firearms.

Officers on patrol near Pleasant St. on Thursday received a report that one of two men walking on Hawley St. had dropped a gun that discharged a round.

Officers located the men, John Diaz, 18, of Worcester and Jarial Saez, 18, of Nashville, sitting on a porch in front of a no trespassing sign near Newbury St.

The investigating officers quickly determined neither man had a purpose to be on the property.

Officers also determined that each man possessed a firearm while neither had a license to carry one.

Officers also determined that Saez’s weapon had fired recently.

The weapon in Diaz’s possession was stolen in Mendon.

Diaz is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Trespass, Receiving Stolen Property over $1200, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.

Saez is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Trespass, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
