71-year-old Woman in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car in Worcester

WORCESTER – On Saturday night around 8:45 PM, members of the Worcester Police Crash Reconstruction Team was called to the vicinity of 987 Main St.

According to the WPD, a 71-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when she was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street in a crosswalk.

The woman was rushed to a local hospital for serious injuries to her head and legs. She is in critical condition. 

The operator of the vehicle remained on scene.

The initial investigation reveals that the vehicle was traveling north on Main St. when it struck the woman who was attempting to cross the street from west to east. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
