Worcester residents take great pride in their St. Patrick’s Day celebration — whether its lining the streets of Park Ave. for the annual Worcester County St. Patrick’s parade or spending the holiday at Fiddler’s Green in the city’s Canal District or at O’Connor’s Restaurant on West Boylston St.
The city is being recognized as one the best places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
According to data from the experts at Wallethub, Worcester’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration ranks #30 among 200 U.S. Cities in their newest report: 2020’s Best Cities for St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations.
WalletHub compared 200 of the largest cities across 17 key metrics — including where to find the best Irish pubs and restaurants to lowest price for a three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day to annual weather forecast.
According to the report, Worcester is 5th in the country for Highest % of Irish Population and 19th in the country for “St. Patrick’s Day Traditions” — which includes length of time parade has been held and the number of St. Patrick’s Day parties and festivities.
