Worcester might not be one the best place to tie the knot with your special someone.

According to a recent report, Worcester ranks in the top five worst places in America to get married.

In the latest report from the data experts at WalletHub, Worcester is #178 out of 182 cities ranked from best to worst to get married in.

According to WalletHub, couples spend an average of over $38,000 on their wedding and the industry brings in $78 billion in revenue in 2019.

Worcester ranked among the Top 10 worst cities in terms of how much money couples have to spend on their wedding, and top five worst for wedding activities and attractions.

To find the most wedding-friendly destinations, WalletHub compared the 182 biggest U.S. cities across 27 key indicators of cost-effectiveness, convenience and enjoyment. Their data sets ranged from average wedding cost to venues and event spaces per capita to weather.

Worcester ranked better than only Juneau, Alaska; Warwick, Rhode Island; Bridgeport, Connecticut; and Pearl City, Hawaii.
